The BYD Frigate 07, also referred to as the BYD Corvette 07 in some English sources, is a mid-size plug-in hybrid electric SUV introduced by BYD Auto as part of its "Ocean Series" lineup. Launched in 2022, it is the second PHEV in this series and features both the DM-i hybrid system for efficiency and the DM-p system for enhanced performance, technologies also seen in BYD’s Dynasty series. The Frigate 07 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (139 hp) paired with one or two electric motors, depending on the variant. The DM-i version offers a combined electric and gasoline range exceeding 1,200 km, while the DM-p performance model delivers up to 401 hp and 656 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in as little as 4.7 seconds.

The SUV measures 4,820 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,750 mm in height, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase, providing a spacious five-seat interior. It features a modern and comfortable cabin with a large sunroof, advanced infotainment system, customizable ambient lighting, and a premium Dynaudio sound system. Safety and convenience technologies include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, a head-up display, and a 360-degree camera. The Frigate 07 supports fast charging, with the DM-p model’s 36.8 kWh battery offering up to 175 km of pure electric range (NEDC). Its blend of efficiency, performance, and advanced features positions it as a strong competitor in the mid-size hybrid SUV segment.
