The BYD Sealion 7, also known in China as the BYD Sealion 07 EV, is a battery electric mid-size crossover SUV introduced by BYD Auto in 2024 as the first model in the Sealion family under the Ocean Series lineup. Built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 and utilizing an 800-volt battery system, the Sealion 7 offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants, each powered by an 82.56 kWh Blade battery. The rear-wheel drive version produces 312 PS and 380 Nm of torque with a claimed range of up to 567 km (NEDC), while the all-wheel drive performance variant delivers 530 PS and 690 Nm, achieving 0–100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and a range of 542 km (NEDC). The SUV features a premium, tech-laden interior with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, 11 airbags, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a panoramic glass roof, and a spacious cargo area. Safety equipment includes a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and multiple collision avoidance technologies. With its blend of luxury, technology, and strong performance, the BYD Sealion 7 competes with models like the BMW iX1, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6.
