The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is a limited-edition, track-only hypercar engineered by Lamborghini’s racing division, Squadra Corse, as the ultimate expression of the brand’s motorsport heritage. Unveiled on 29 July 2020, the Essenza SCV12 represents the pinnacle of naturally aspirated V12 performance, embodying the raw essence of Lamborghini’s passion for uncompromised speed, sound, and track dominance.
At its heart lies a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing over 830 horsepower, making it the most powerful non-hybrid V12 Lamborghini has ever built. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a sequential six-speed gearbox, derived from GT racing, and mounted as a structural element to improve rigidity. Designed exclusively for the track, the Essenza SCV12 forgoes road regulations to achieve extreme aerodynamics, delivering higher downforce than a GT3 car, thanks to its massive front splitter, sculpted side intakes, and imposing rear wing.
Built on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with no internal roll cage, the SCV12 is both ultra-light and extraordinarily stiff. Only 40 units were produced, each offering owners access to an exclusive program of track events around the world, with full support from Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
