Lamborghini Jalpa

- Year: 1981 – 1988
The Lamborghini Jalpa, produced from 1981 to 1988, was a mid-engine, two-seater sports car representing a more accessible entry point into the Lamborghini lineup compared to its more powerful siblings. It featured a transversely mounted 3.5-liter V8 engine, a departure from Lamborghini's usual V12 configuration, delivering approximately 250 horsepower. While not as raw or powerful as its V12 counterparts, the Jalpa offered a surprisingly agile and engaging driving experience, thanks to its lightweight construction and rear-wheel drive. Its styling, penned by Marcello Gandini, showcased sharp lines and wedge-shaped proportions typical of Lamborghini's design language at the time, though arguably less dramatic than some of its predecessors. Production numbers remained relatively low, contributing to its collectible status today.
