The Suzuki Eeco is a compact microvan manufactured by Maruti Suzuki, introduced in 2010 as a simplified and more affordable version of the discontinued Suzuki Versa. The Versa, in turn, was based on the Suzuki Every Plus or Landy, which extended the platform of the tenth-generation Carry van. Designed primarily for the Indian market, the Eeco serves both commercial and family purposes with its practical, no-frills approach.
It effectively replaced the iconic Maruti Omni, which was phased out in 2019 due to non-compliance with evolving safety regulations. Despite its basic design, the Eeco has remained popular due to its affordability, low maintenance costs, and versatile interior space. In recent years, the model has also begun to see exports to international markets, including the Middle East, as of 2022, further expanding its presence beyond India.
