Like the Indica, the Indigo served as a crucial vehicle in expanding car ownership in India, providing a relatively inexpensive and spacious option for families. Various iterations, including the Indigo Marina (a station wagon variant) and the Indigo CS (a compact sedan with a sleeker design), were introduced throughout its production run, demonstrating Tata's efforts to diversify within this segment.
