Ultraviolette

Ultraviolette Automotive is a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle company that’s redefining the future of high-performance mobility in India. Founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan, the company blends aerospace-grade engineering with cutting-edge electric mobility solutions. Ultraviolette aims to create a premium ecosystem of electric two-wheelers and associated technologies, elevating the standards of design, performance, and innovation in the EV industry.

The company’s flagship product, the F77, is India’s first high-performance electric motorcycle. It has evolved through multiple versions—from the original F77 to the F77 Recon, SuperStreet, and the newly launched Mach 2. These bikes are known for their aggressive design, intelligent features, and impressive range of up to 323 km (IDC). Advanced technologies like 10-level regenerative braking, traction control, crash alerts, and OTA updates make the F77 series a benchmark in the premium EV space.

Ultraviolette has also introduced the Tesseract, an upcoming smart electric scooter that brings premium features like radar-based safety systems, dual dashcams, blind spot detection, and connected ride analytics to the scooter segment. It aims to blend convenience with performance, offering a 0–60 km/h acceleration in under 3 seconds and a range of around 167 km.

In the performance racing space, the company unveiled the F99 Factory Racing Platform, a carbon-fiber-clad electric superbike capable of reaching speeds up to 265 km/h. Designed for competitive racing, it underlines Ultraviolette’s technological prowess and ambition to take on global two-wheeler giants on the race track.

Ultraviolette’s ecosystem is backed by strong infrastructure and support systems. The company provides proprietary fast-charging solutions like UV Supernova, a network of high-speed chargers for intercity travel, and UV-LYNC compatibility for public AC chargers. Their battery systems offer robust safety, thermal management, and long-term warranties of up to 100,000 km or 5 years.

Backed by prominent investors such as TVS Motor Company, Zoho, EXOR Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and actor Dulquer Salmaan, Ultraviolette is scaling production and expanding internationally. The F77 Mach 2 and SuperStreet are now certified for European markets and will be available in countries like France and Germany by late 2025.

With a bold vision to electrify performance biking globally, Ultraviolette Automotive stands out as one of India’s most promising and technologically advanced EV startups. Their commitment to design, speed, intelligence, and sustainability positions them at the forefront of the next generation of mobility solutions.
